Forget a Knife and Cutting Board Try a Clever Cutter

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of prep work when it comes to cooking. It’s so time consuming right? Unless you are one of those people who meal preps ahead of time. I try to do this, but I don’t always have time to sit and pre-chop everything. I also don’t have a ton of storage containers either. Have you ever tried to cut a block of cheese with a regular knife? It can be difficult.

I know of a handy kitchen gadget that will allow you to cut down your prep time and most of the hassle. Pun intended, it was unavoidable! This gadget also makes cutting cheese easy and I don’t mean passing flatulence either! It is called a Clever Cutter. It is a 2 in 1 food chopper that will allow you to replace your kitchen knives and cutting boards. The gadget looks and is used like a pair of scissors.  You place your vegetables on the cutting board part, and squeeze the handles together! It’s really simple. Below you will find the promotional video:

Pros about Clever Cutter

  •         Reduces amount of dirty dishes
  •         Reduces time spent on chopping vegetables
  •         Cuts blocks of cheese easily
  •         No counter space needed
  •         Takes up less space in a drawer
  •         Has locking mechanism to prevent harm when not in use
  •         Easy to clean
  •         Easy to store
  •         Affordable pricing

Cons about Clever Cutter

  •         Hand gets tired and cramps up after long use (at least mine does)
  •         Unsure of how long blade will stay sharp
  •         Unsure of how to sharpen the blade even if it were to get dull
  •         Still have to be careful of cutting yourself
  •         Hard to use with long fingernails

My Personal Review

I have one of these and I LOVE it so far. Daniel and I have races to see who can chop faster. Me and the Clever Cutter vs him and his knife. By the way, Daniel is pretty fast at chopping. The results are usually too close to tell who won. My only concern I have is what happens when the knife part gets dull? Will I have to buy a new Clever Cutter or can I sharpen the blade myself? Other than that, I think it is a great tool. I use mine all the time. In fact, I use it so much that the “Clever Cutter” branding on the handle of the scissors is wearing off. I would recommend this product to anyone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen. It makes a great gift.
