War Room

If you are looking for a great movie to watch with the family or even friends, this movie is a phenomenal choice.

With great jobs, a beautiful daughter; and a dream house, the Jordans seem to have it all. Appearances can be deceiving, however, as husband Tony flirts with temptation and wife Elizabeth becomes increasingly bitter, crumbling under the strain of a failing marriage. Their lives take an unexpected turn for the better when Elizabeth meets her newest client, Miss Clara, who encourages the couple to find happiness through prayer.

The Preview

Being a renewed firm believer in Jesus Christ, not because of this movie but due to another event that occurred in my life (a story for another day), this movie really opened my eyes. This movie is wonderful proof that the Lord will always be there for you:

  1. When you need him the most
  2. Has a plan for each and every one of us
  3. Will provide for us (on his terms, not ours)

When I watched this movie for the first time. I felt the Lord’s presence in the room with Danny and our mutual friend, Jeff. Jeff had seen the movie once already, but was more than happy to watch it again with us.┬áThis movie may not be for everyone, but I believe it really is a great, inspiring movie. I saw a review of the movie that spoke volumes of the movie (which I agree with):

Either you will connect with the movie and see the truth of God’s word exposed, or you will have no clue what this movie is about. Truly our world, country, communities, families, and believers have lost their understanding of what it means to experience the Salvation of Jesus Christ. Jesus died so we could live an abundant life.

This movie illustrates perfectly what probably goes on in the majority of “christian” homes. Millions of people attend church, but return home to argue, fight, and live separate lives. Then they wonder why their children turn away from faith. War Room recaptures what it means to be a christian and how to renounce the devil and his power over their life.

War Room is one of those movies where if you have that special connection mentioned above, you will want to clap, praise the Lord, say “Amen!” etc. I could watch this movie over and over again. Please, watch this phenomenal film and come back here to tell me what you thought of the movie. I would love to see what your thoughts, feelings, and comments are!
